President's welcome letter
Dear Delegates of the Disarmament Commission,
It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the esteemed KAMUN'27 conference.
I am Yasmina Al-Mufleh, and I will have the pleasure of serving as your President in the Disarmament Commission. I am currently a sophomore at King's Academy, and I have been actively participating in MUN since eighth grade. I started it because I enjoyed debating, but over time it has become more important to me than just that. Through every conference and debate, I have grown not only as a debater, but as a person. MUN has allowed me to meet new people, challenge myself, and become more confident in expressing my ideas. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to listen to different perspectives while still standing up for myself. This is one of the reasons I'm especially excited about this committee.
In the Disarmament Commission, we can look at conflicts we face today while also preparing for the challenges that are still ahead of us. The decisions made will influence the generations to come, making our discussions on this committee more relevant than ever before.
I encourage all delegates to approach the topics with curiosity and willingness to collaborate. I look forward to hearing your ideas, seeing your debates, and working together to create meaningful discussions.
Best regards,
Yasmina Al-Mufleh
President of The Disarmament Commission
